Because Martha Stewart doesn’t get enough press…

I am a bag addict.  Mostly my reusable ones, and I am always on the look out for cute styles.  I bought some canvas today to make some larger totes!

Martha Stewart OF course came out with a cool idea.  How many thousand million t-shirts do you have around?  Those reusable bags can be spendy!  Try this!

You have to scroll a little to the middle, but it’s so quick and easy!  Off to make a few myself.  I’ll post pictures when I’m done!

It’s Friday!

YAY!  I woke up this morning and it felt like Christmas!    The house is actually clean and I got 3/4 of the closet organized and a few more bags of clothes to donate and another to go through and put away.  I have a feeling that the day is going to go by rather slow.

On a complety OFF, OFF, OFF topic.  I sent out a package like 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t gotten to the recipient yet.  No big deal since I have the DC for it, but guess what?  Yup, I can’t find it any where.  The whole situation is really crappy actually.  The seller that I bought something from sent me the wrong package, then refunded me the shipping to the other person.  Of course when you get a refund it’s tied up for a week.  Then I got sick.  So I had to hunt down the person who got MY stuff to tell her what was going on.  She sent mine and the seller never gave her a refund for shipping to me.  I sent the stuff out to her and set the DC aside.  Now I don’t know if she ever got her shipping, but instead of telling ME that she never received the items she went to the seller.  Ugh what a mess.

I can’t wait ’till Friday!

Ryan is FINALLY coming home!  I was supposed to fly out there on Tuesday, but they changed his dates again.  Oh well.  He’s coming home for good!

I have been busy all this week getting the house in order, which included going through all the kid’s clothes.  I donated 3 bags of clothes and shoes, and have another on filling up.  My sister and I are going to have a garage sale this summer, so I have some bags filling up for that as well.  I am glad that I have the spare bedroom back to store it all in.  I am FINALLY tackling the closet in my room.  My goal for this summer is to get some proper shelving in there.  Very doable.  I feel an Ikea trip coming on!  Maybe from the proceeds of the garage sale!

We are also thinking of switching Lilli over to her big girl bed.  It was my old bed and I am excited that I get to pass it down to her.  She has picked out Hello Kitty for her room.  I have to say I did not sway her in any way, shape or form.  It’s probably just because she sees her in her everyday life.  That is my doing though!  I’ll claim that.  I found her a bed canopy, big pillow, and bedspread.  While Ryan’s mom was here she bought her a Hello Kitty bank.

This last week Lilli lost interest in the potty.  That’s ok, I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.  She has also asked for a pink potty and Ryan wants me to find a Hello Kitty potty.  I have not been able to find one, but they do have a super sweet pink one that I am going to embellish with some stickers or maybe use the paint pens to draw one on the lid and sides.  Wow a picture just popped into my head.  I’ll def post pictures with whatever I come up with!

Kaleb has turned into a MAJOR performer.  More so than he was before.  My mom had gotten him a train table for his birthday last year and he now uses that as his stage.  I think I am going to build a little plat form in the play room for him and put some curtains up and whatnot.  I have got to try and get some video of his little shows.  He is great.  Triple threat man!

Well my coffee is almost gone and I still need to pick up some things around here!

My wish list

When I get restless I make gift registries.  I make them for weddings or a new baby.  I love adding things that I want, silly I know.  I should be cleaning or doing laundry, but I am feeling very restless and I thought it might be a little fun to show you some things that I always add to one list or the other.

1. Petunia Pickle Bottom.  I love this diaper bag and have been drooling over them since I saw one when I was very early pregnant with Lilli.  This lady at the flower show had one and my jaw dropped.

2. Calphalon.  Um, drool.  HAHA I love that I put the diaper bag before the cookware.

3. Tea for one.  Ok so this is more for me, but I add it anyway.  I am the only tea drinker in my house 🙂

4.  Egyptian cotton sheets.  These just seem like a must.

5.  Gravy boat.  You know how they say if you don’t register you will get 5 of these?  Not true.  I don’t have one, and I really actually want one.

Wow, just wow!

Yesterday was a SUPER fun day!  My sister and got up so early to drive to Bellevue for the kids sale.  We weren’t as early as we have liked, but next year we will first in line.  We have been planning on going since the sale in October last year.  SO this year was great.  It as the nicest day of the year, so standing in line was really nice.

The sale itself was just as fun and hectic as last year.  I missed out on a whole bunch of toys and furniture ’cause I ran straight for the trainers and shoes first.  I found the BEST trainers that I will never ever be able to get my hands on again.  They are from Japan.  I also found a whole bunch of Hello Kitty for Lilli’s room.  I had so much stuff when we were checking out and I was worried that I would go over my budget, since I really hadn’t totaled anything in line.  I didn’t thankfully and had a lot left over to have fun with at the Green Festival.

After the sale we headed over to the Green Festival.  We were both STARVING and headed right over to the food area.  I tried the vegan sausage, which was yummy.  I was still hungry and got a veggie burrito.  We sat down next to the funniest guy who had some really great ideas and he will be having a revised book of his coming out this summer some time!  So I was now stuffed and very happy.  We headed over to the booths and started sampling teas and chocolate.  That was kind of hard since I had just stuffed my face.

I was super excited to see three booths of cloth diapers and of course headed right over.  I encountered the rudest/stupidest girl at the BG booth.  I haven’t really decided what she was yet.  She got right in my face and asked if I had heard of clot diapers.  Haha.  I told her yup, we already cd!  Instead of saying great or yay, she was like” oh”.  Literally, “oh”.  Sorry that you couldn’t convert me, sheesh.  So then she goes, “WELL these are the BEST diapers EVER”(exact emphasis btw).  I smiled and said “I think they would be the best if they had snaps instead of aplix”.  She smirked and said, “well that’s pretty much never going to happen”  Ok then.  I told her I really didn’t appreciate how she was treating me and turned and walked over to the Fuzzi Bunz booth.  I happily bought 3!  The new style is weird and I took pictures of sizing if anyone was wondering.  I spent a little time telling the lady the observations that I had with them.  I then headed over to the booth that was being run by my local cloth diaper shop.  Nothing too interesting over there.  Textile prefolds.  Yuck.

My sister and I walked around for another 3 hours, got TONS of samples and were pretty much exhausted.  We made it through the whole place and ran back through to get a few more of the bigger sized samples and buy some fair trade coffee and tea.  i found some shoes that I am going to get and a few clothing companies that I want to check out as well.

I will try and update with some pictures a little later.

So yesterday I was asked if I could make some longies and guess what I can! I am so excited with how they turned out that and then I made a pair of capris which need some embellishing.

Remind me of a pair of woolies that I have. Heehee. I am in love with this pattern and I feel that this is a great one to stick too. I am going to try out the smaller sizes to see how they come out AND I get to make some boy stuff. I have to say that I am not the greatest at picking out boy colors and I have one! How sad is that? I stood in the fabric isle a LONG time. I mean how many shades of green can there really be? Let me tell you, a lot. LOL. I am in love with the fleece that I ended up getting and I think they match really nice with one another. I will be working on a couple of sets so check back for a little preview!

Ok, off to finish an order!
