I never really intended to take a blogging break, but every time I started to sit down nothing seemed very important. I don’t really want to go into too much detail since I’m not at a place where I feel like sharing. I am going to update on a whole slew of other things though.

Ryan left for HI on the 14th and we have been missing him like crazy. It seems to have affected Lilli the hardest. She had a mini baby breakdown last night, that pretty much broke my heart. We were over at my mom’s and she was playing when all of a sudden she stopped and looked around. The next second she just burst into tears and started doing that silent freak out cry. I ran over to her to make sure she wasn’t hurt, when she let out the most pitiful “I want my DAADDDDDY”. I called him and handed her the phone, but she threw it down and cried some more. Poor baby :(. We are going to visit him though! I’m so excited. Kaleb…not so much. I mentioned that we were going to see daddy, and I immediatly saw the fear in his eyes. When I asked him waht was wrong, he said he didn’t want to go in an airplane. They go too fast! They get broken. So last night he tells me “you and baby go see daddy, I stay here with Mum and Madison” I would feel so sad to leave him behind, but if I buy a ticket and he has a mental breakdown, I don’t know what I will do. Or if he will react with an eating strike like he did the last time we forced him to do something he didn’t want to. Sigh.

Although Ryan is staying in a condo, it has a coin operate laundry. Which means that the cloth needs to stay behimd. Both mine and Lilli’s. Whomp. That also means that I need to find sposies that won’t make Lilli break out in a rash. I will be fine, I know what I can use. The last time I bought sposies for Lilli was over 8 months ago! The STRESS! How do sposies work anyway? LOL.

I have also been selling a lot of custom orders lately! Yay! I like that I’m getting my name out there. I am working on a great custom for Issy and I am getting so excited on how it is turning out. I would take a picture, BUT my darling Lilli killed my camera. She broke my screen so I can’t tell what I am taking a picture of until I upload it. Urgh. I plan on just getting a cheapy one since I am getting my Canon Rebel when Ryan gets back. EEEEE!

Selling the customs has helped me to fund my Ergo, Beco, or Yamo carrier. NOW if I can just get someone to sell one to me. The first day of looking, I lost out on 8. 8! I am still waiting to hear back from a lady on DS about her Beco which is lime swirls. So me! I am getting a little discouraged that I now have enough to buy a new Ergo, but can’t bring myself to do it. Ryan says just go for it, since I sold things to get and not using any of our funds. Plus he’s excited about getting a carrier that he can use as well. He is brave enough to use the sling around the house, but not in public. Plus even if if I did buy it new, the next baby can use it as well.

Way OT, but I just saw the preview for the new Bring it On tonight! STOKED!

Anyway my sister and I are going to go to Target tonight to see what kind of cheap cameras they have there and buy Lilli some sandals. I found a box of clothes from last year and a large majority still fit. My poor stumpy kid. I did put a pair of pants on her today that were too short in the inseam, so I think there is some hope.

I need to stop since I just looked up and see that Lilli is now smashing Cheerios into little bits.

I have been looking for a new diaper pattern and found a really great one! I hate making my own patterns, and wasting fabric trying to get it just right. I found this one and it’s for a fitted one size diaper that you are supposed to be able to use from small to toddler. We still have to fold it down a bit, so I have a feeling that we will be able to use this one for a while. Plus I love the fact that you can stuff it with whatever you want! I want to try and get some organic velour and make a SUPER yummy one! Here’s the link to the pattern:http://www.jordanpaperarts.com/tana/diapers/RRP/Ritas-Rump-Pocket-Pattern.htm

Here is how they turned out. The jungle baby one I made a little smaller through the crotch, but it’s a little hard to stuff, so I made the purple owl one wider. I also used different elastic in them, and I like the knit one a lot better. Much easier to work with. Anywho here they are in all their one-size glory!

Oh and just for the heck of it here’s Lilli modeling her dip dyed Llamajamas! I am in LURVE with these, and she never wants to take them off. Yes, those are post its on her head. Yes, I know she’s a weirdo.

Look what I made!

I had a bad day, and to make myself feel better I made a pull up soaker! I have had this huge pile of fleece, just waiting to be turned into something great. I got my WCW soaker in today and I LOVE it! So this soaker was inspired by it. I’m taking a small break to show this off and then I am off to make one for Ashley! Just a little more manly for her little guy. Lets see if she’s checking my blog. LOL. Anywho here it is!

Ho, Ho, Ho?

As in already? I drove past the first Christmas tree stand, and I had to do a double take. That was fast. Target already has all there Christmas stuff up! I’m actually really excited. last year, Ryan was just starting out at his job so things were a little tight. This year, since I am temping for my sister, I have already made all my Christmas money! STOKED! I can’t wait to go shopping. I am still working on what I would like to get everyone.

Poor Lilli has croup. I broke out the nebulizer, and so far she hasn’t gotten that horrible cough. She just sounds weezy. She needed a new humidifier and i couldn’t find the one at Walmart. So I went to good old Target! I was torn between the Hello Kitty with the night light and the one I originally came in to buy. In the end, Hello Kitty lost out to the built in air purifier.

Anna had her pony party today. Kaleb had a BLAST. He even rode one. I asked him if he wanted to have a pony party too, but he is still stuck on his Seattle party. I still don’t know what I am going to do for it though. Plus the cake needs to be designed.

I have also been busy crafting. I decided to switch Lilli over to cloth wipes since her last ped appt. All those awful diaper rashes from the sposies left some damage that I had never thought could happen. Anyway all cloth for her. I got some really cute ones off of HC, and have been making some of my own. I am thinking about making some mama pads for me. I have some yummy fleece and scraps of flannel left over from some diapers. Pictures to follow when I finish.

We have Ryan’s mom and aunt coming in on Friday night and my house looks like it turned itself upside down. I actually think that my mess is breeding and making little mess babies. I don’t have actual proof, but I’m sure I can find some. I have been working on it though, but with working during the day now it seems like I am not getting very far. On the plus side I only have two rooms left, a HUGE box of clothes to donate, and a SURPRISE pile to send off to Ashley! I can’t way what it is since you read my blog!

OMG I just saw a preview for Grey’s Anatomy tomorrow, and I’m SO excited! I saw it last week after the show, but I can barely remember what a did last.

I cleaned up the dining/sewing room, and I have SO many projects that I am itching to get done. I keep telling my self that I am going to make some things to stock a HC or put up on Etsy, but I fall in love with whatever I am making. Needless to say, Lilli has a lot of really cute wool, painted tees, embellished pre folds, tie dye, and so one.

Well I am off to pick up a little more! Wish me luck!

Show off!

Well I finished four prefolds last night and I love how they turned out. I would have showed hem off last night, but I barely got the last stitch finished when I started falling asleep at the machine. I was trying to stay awake until Ryan got home, since he was going to be home around 2 am. Sadly I couldn’t make it.

I had originally planned on using a green diaper with the trees, but I had thrown the fabric down next to the machine and it landed on a blue one that was waiting to be embellished. Funny how things work out like that! I love how it came out, and it’s one of my favorites.

All in all I like working with flannel on the diapers. Since the diapers don’t have much stretch to them, it’s easier to work with a fabric that doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it as well. The fleece on the other ones had a little more stretch than I was used to.

Well I am off to pack away more summer clothes, and to clean up the house a bit. We have company coming soon!

I have been dye crazy tonight. The kiddos are in bed and I get to do some crafts. I bought some prefolds and fabric, with every intent of embellishing. I started with some tights for Isabelle. I was wondering if I could pull off tie dying tights and socks. This was the answer.

FANTASTIC! I want some for me. I want to try and get a rainbow affect next time. I wonder how those great professional tie dyers do it. While I blog, this is what I have waiting for me in the sink. Crappy picture, but I can’t wait until these are done, so I can embellish them with the great fleece I got.

Well off to stir the diapers and I promise to get pictures up after all is said and done!

I found my camera!

In the sofa, where I had looked about 5 million times I might add. SO I got to take a picture of my prefolds that I embellished the other day. I tried to get a picture of my scratch, but I couldn’t get it since the flash kept going off, and when I turned the flash off it got blurry. Oh well, it’s really there I promise! I wold really like to see if I can find any cute fleece somewhere. It doesn’t take much, and then I don’t need a cover! The new Snappis work really great on them too. Actually the old ones worked just fine. I have to find the path so that I can make Lilli her Denver Bronco diaper as well. SO on to the PF! The green is a lot more vibrant in real life.

Well I just id a HUGE update on Myspace, so this one is going to be the short version of that I think. Most everyone that reads this blog is pretty up to date on things. Plus most are Mamas from DS, so they know my day to day things anyway.

Not to much going on around here. I am in the process of making a few things that me and a business partner will hope to stock a Hyena Cart with! I am perfecting a few patterns, and finding out what my strengths are. I need to focus on just a few projects, because I will sit down and another idea will pop into my head. I need a notebook. A huge idea notebook. So far there are a lot of post its floating around. Ryan has given up hope of the dining room being used for dining. We are still in the process of finishing the living room, and as soon as that room is done, he said I can move in there. I also need to figure out how to organize things a little better. The whole pile system is just NOT working out for me. I keep saying as soon as I get more bins, as soon as I get tis or that. Really it’s just me.

I am also taking advantage of the last little bit of sunshine and warm days that we have been having. I don’t know how many more days I will be able to line dry the diapers. Where I have them hanging at the moment is covered, so it might work for non rainy days. What did people do before they had dryers in the winter? I should ask my Oma. She’s 93, she will know. For now I will just add a picture of some diapers on the line!

A thing of beauty!

I am actually very excited that fall is on the way. I can’t wait to break out the sweaters. I found the cutest little pumpkin shirt at Target for Lilli yesterday. I wish it had been a long sleeve, but I don’t mind too much. The pumkin is the same shade as her orange FB AND her new orange SB aio. I also got her some socks as well. I have a huge thing for socks. Don’t know where it came from. I can’t wait until they bring some Christmas shirts and socks to the dollar section! I may have to go out and find a diaper to match!

I Took A Break

From packing, that is and sewed Lilli a pair of shorts and appliqu├ęd a shirt. I had wanted to try and find a cloth diapering advocacy shirt, but this idea popped into me head. I love how it turned out. The stitching around the heart is all wonky, but I kind of like it that way. I started with a white shirt that had a little hole in it, due to me using the wrong needle, so I covered it with a purple heart. I used some iron on bond and ironed it onto the shirt and did the same thing for the little cloth diaper. I used the same fleece that I used for the heart for shorts. Since fleece is a great daytime cover, I thought it would be nice to take on our little vacation. I am also taking the wool longies that I made the other day. Here’s a picture to show off my work. The waist looks very tiny, because Lilli is a bean pole.
